The Italian Job Minis are the three famous Minis used in The Italian Job. They were all pre-1968 Mk. Is, but they carried a G-registration number four the films release in 1969
The Minis, one red, one white and one blue, became famous for the film's car chase around the streets of Turin which featured the cars leaping across rooftops, driving through a weir and through some sewers. The imaginative and amusing sequence has landed itself in many 'greatest car chases' lists and, as if Monte Carlo victories and the fashions of 'Swinging London' weren't enough, helped the Mini to go down in history as an automotive design icon.
The fourteen Minis used for filming were all destroyed in 1968, but many replicas have been made.
